Mobile Home Winter Survival Guide: All About Warming, Safety, and Maintenance (1)
1.warmth preservation
(1)Check the sealing of doors and windows: Check carefully whether there are gaps around doors and windows. Cold wind can easily get in through these small holes. You can use sealing strips or sealants to repair them to reduce heat loss.
(2)Warming curtains: Replace with thick warm curtains and draw them at night to effectively block the cold air from entering the room and play a role in insulation.
(3)Add carpets and floor mats: Laying carpets or floor mats on the floor can not only increase indoor warmth, but also reduce the heat dissipation through the ground.
(4)Check the insulation layer: Make sure the insulation layer of the house is intact. If there are any damages or missing parts, they should be repaired or supplemented in time to maintain a stable indoor temperature.

2.Pipeline protection
(1)Wrapping pipes: Wrap exposed water pipes. You can use special pipe insulation materials to prevent them from freezing and cracking. Pay special attention to water pipes located outdoors, in basements, or near exterior walls.
(2)Keep water flowing: In extremely cold weather, keep a small flow from the faucet so that water flows slowly in the pipes, which can reduce the risk of freezing of the pipes. However, you should use water reasonably to avoid waste.
(3)Draining the system: If the mobile home is not to be used for a long time, or if severe cold weather is expected and the house is unoccupied, it is best to drain the water in the entire pipe system, including the water heater, toilet tank, etc., to eliminate the possibility of freezing and cracking of the pipes from the root.
